Used tanning beds will need to be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before use. Since used tanning beds are not always sold in their best condition, they will need to be cleaned using a special cleaning solution. Once you have the tanning beds clean, sanitized, and inspected, they will be ready for use. Because bacteria and germs may overgrow, it is imperative to have used tanning beds properly sanitized before using them. Safety is always the greatest concern when using tanning beds correctly.

Before turning the beds on, the bulbs need to be checked. Many times the bulbs will light up, but will be weak. Weak bulbs will not tan as well as new bulbs. Strong bulbs are important for receiving an even tan. for an even tan, and all bulbs must be replaced after so many hours of use. The owner’s manual will explain about the bulb usage as well as when to change the bulbs. Make sure that when you purchase used tanning beds you request the users manual that was originally packaged with the unit.

Used tanning beds will need to be inspected before use. This is important even if you are using the beds for private use or commercial use. Inspect all wiring, bulbs and the overall condition of the beds. Tanning beds that are in good condition will give a golden tan. If there are any flaws, it could cause uneven tanning or even have more serious consequences. Also, double check the timer and ensure that it works properly before entering the tanning bed. If the timer were faulty, one would not know how long they have been in the bed. Too much time spent on tanning beds can have dire results so always take the time to ensure that your bed is working properly.
